India sets cooking gas making goals for big oil companies
The Indian government told 21 oil companies how much cooking gas to make every day, giving Reliance the biggest target.
What the government decided
The government of India wants to make sure there is always enough cooking gas for everyone in the country. To do this, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry gave clear rules to twenty-one oil refineries and companies. These rules tell the companies exactly how much cooking gas, known as LPG, they must make each day.
Which company has the biggest goal
Under the new plan, all the companies together can make a huge total of 63810 tonnes of cooking gas every single day. Out of all the companies, a giant business called Reliance got the largest share of the work. This means Reliance will have to make more cooking gas than any other company on the list.
